POWERless Energy Competition under way

The POWERless Energy Competition returned to þ this semester for a seven-week contest to see which residence halls can best reduce their electricity usage. The competition began Feb. 17 with a kick-off event at College Coffee.

RecycleMania 2009 results for Week 1

Results are in for Elon during the first official week of RecyleMania 2009, a 10-week competition taking part on campuses across the nation to reduce waste and raise awareness about recycling. Overall cumulative pounds recycled (per capita) on campus is ahead of the data reported by the university last year at this stage of the contest.

Three Elon students have been awarded federally funded scholarships to help support their spring 2009 semester study abroad experiences, while a fourth student is the recipient of a scholarship to fund her semester in Denmark.
