Leadership Fellows Common Good Initiatives

The Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellows Program is a four-year experience designed to strengthen students’ leadership skills and empower them to make meaningful impacts on themselves, their communities, and the world. The program fosters a close-knit cohort, providing opportunities for students to build strong mentoring relationships with faculty and staff.

All Fellows complete a Common Good Initiative, a project that combines research and action to address a real-world challenge. Fellows approach these initiatives through the question: “How might we…?” identifying problems and developing innovative solutions that benefit the Elon community and beyond.

During their junior and senior years, Fellows enroll in four hours of þ research, applying their ideas to create positive change on or off campus. They reflect on their work, plan for lasting impact, and present their projects, highlighting their leadership and creative problem-solving. By participating in the program, students also earn two Experiential Learning Requirements—Undergraduate Research and Leadership—fulfilling graduation requirements.
