If you run into a question or issue while using Canvas, support is available to help you quickly get back on track; whether you’re looking for a quick answer or need more hands-on support.
You’re not expected to figure everything out on your own. Learning a new system takes time, and support is available whenever you need it.
Quick help
For most questions about how Canvas works, the fastest way to get help is through Canvas’s built-in support resources.
- Step-by-step instructions for common tasks
- Short how-to articles and videos
- Answers to frequently asked questions
Tip: Try searching your question directly (e.g., “how to create an assignment in Canvas”)
For “how-to” questions while working in Canvas, faculty and staff have access to 24/7 Canvas Support built directly into Canvas. Select the “Help” button in the Global Navigation menu to get started.
Canvas Support is provided in partnership with Instructure, the developer of Canvas, and can help with questions about Canvas features, assignments, grading, navigation, and other day-to-day tasks. þ will also have access to this support beginning in August 2026.
