Associate Professor Cathy Quay, chair of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s Department of Nursing, has been appointed to a committee that evaluates nursing program applications to a worldwide accreditation body.

The grant from the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust will support the university’s new HealthEU Center and create scholarships in the Nursing Fellows program to address critical healthcare workforce needs.

A group of nursing students traveled to Cuba in January for a first-of-its-kind ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Winter Term study abroad program.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ conferred nearly 100 degrees from the School of Health Sciences on Dec. 13 in Alumni Gym.

“Bridging Faith and Health," a new micro-credential badge program, focuses on holistic patient care

Nursing, physician assistant and anatomy faculty members, along with anatomy ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ assistants came together to offer an engaged, interdisciplinary learning opportunity to nursing students utilizing the "silent teachers" in the Anatomical Gift Program.

The first training for the new micro-credential badge will be offered in October.

Jessica Gisclair, Brian Pennington, Will Pluer and Stacey Thomas have embarked on the program, which helps faculty build expertise in leadership education and integrate it into a coming class.

An associate professor of nursing, Van Horn will be inducted on Sept. 20 during the National League of Nursing Education Summit in San Antonio, Texas.
