This event is for anyone interested in learning more about Elon Law and the law school admissions process.

Elon Law Professors Scott Gaylord, David Levine and Michael Rich provided commentary and analysis for Yes! Weekly, Slate and the News and Observer, respectively, on the subjects of super PACs, voting machines and criminal informants.

The student-led Pro Bono Board at Elon Law is pleased to announce Pro Bono Week, October 22-27, featuring events in partnership with local attorneys, American Civil Liberties Union, Legal Aid of North Carolina, the Interactive Resource Center, Women’s Resource Center, Elon’s Office of Financial Planning, Elon Law’s Center for Professional Development and Humanitarian and Immigration Law Clinic, and the following student organizations: ACLU, Initiative for Diversity and Cultural Awareness, Public Interest Law Society and Women’s Law Association.

The Public Interest Law Society (PILS) at Elon Law was able to provide Elizabeth Duncan, L’13, with a stipend to support her public interest internship over the summer of 2012.

Renovations to current facilities and the purchase of three nearby properties will allow the growth of law clinics and student groups.

Competing nationally for the first time since the mock trial program was established, members of Elon Law's Student Advocacy Board recently traveled to Tennessee and Washington, D.C. to compete in the National Trial Competition (NTC) and the Student Trial Advocacy Competition (STAC), respectively, earning high marks from competition judges and faculty.

On Friday, October 26, 2012, beginning at 9 a.m., the Elon Law Review will present a symposium examining First Amendment issues resulting from the interplay between religion and government. The symposium, approved for 5.75 CLE credit hours, will take place at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law, 201 N. Greene St., Greensboro, N.C.

Enrique Armijo, James G. Exum, Jr., Keith McCrickard and Hannah Vaughan join the 2012-13 full time faculty of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law.

The second edition of the online Journal of Leadership and the Law, published October 17, includes interviews with accomplished lawyers about leadership in the judiciary and in immigration law, as well as student articles about the Conference on Law and Leadership and the value of interdisciplinary work, multilingualism and receptiveness to effective leadership in the law.
