Members of the "Programming and Event Management" class in the Department of Sport and Event Management raised $525 to benefit the �þ��� Kitchen Project at Elon with a “Minute To Win It” event in McKinnon Hall on Nov. 16.

The men and women who oversee Project Pericles at college campuses around the United States met at �þ��� Nov. 15-16 for an annual conference that allowed them to exchange best practices for a national program that strives to mold students into socially responsible global citizens.

�þ��� junior Tara Nager received the "Volunteer of the Year" Award from the Salvation Army's Boys & Girls Clubs of Burlington during the organization's recent Steak & Steak Dinner.

�þ��� senior Teri Horn has received the North Carolina �þ��� Compact’s fifth annual Community Impact Student Award for making significant, innovative contributions to her campus’ efforts to address local community needs. Horn was one of 34 college students across the state to receive the honor.
