School of Communications faculty members contributed to conversations on artificial intelligence, internships, mentorship, workplace experiences and First Amendment issues during the August gathering in New Orleans.

Elon faculty Hwayeon Ryu and Andrea Perreault have joined the three-year Computational Biology Peer Mentor Network, a national initiative connecting faculty from primarily ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ institutions to strengthen interdisciplinary ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ, research, mentorship and professional development in computational biology.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ and faculty at the Elon Mathematics and Statistics Department attended and presented at MathFest, the annual meeting of the Mathematical Association of America on Aug. 5-8 in Boston, Massachusetts.

As the 2026-27 academic year begins, ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ is opening a new school, launching innovative new programs and constructing new facilities for the campus community.

Your Place in the World: Exploring Identity, Sustainability, and AI was a three-week course taught by a transatlantic team from the US, UK and Ireland.

Associate Professor of Mathematics Hwayeon Ryu and Assistant Professor of Biology Efra Rivera-Serrano received a three-year, $500,138 grant to study viral myocarditis.
