Thirty-eight students enrolled Jan. 4, 2010, in the DPT program in the Department of Physical Therapy Education. Their enrollment marks Elon’s eighth class of DPT students.
The class has an average cumulative ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ GPA of 3.50 from an impressive list of colleges and universities, including University of Michigan, Furman University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ also have an average Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) score of 1140 (Verbal and Quantitative sections combined), nearly 140 points higher than the United States average GRE score of 1000 (whose intended program of study is physical therapy).
¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ come from 14 states including one student from Maine, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Popular ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ majors include biology, exercise & health science and sports medicine/athletic training.
“The Department is excited to welcome this talented DPT class to Elon,” said Elizabeth Rogers, associate dean and chair of the Department of Physical Therapy Education. “The 38-member Class of 2012 comes from diverse educational and life-experience backgrounds, including members of the class who have held high positions in their respective industries.”
