Faculty and students from the Elon Biology Department attended the annual meeting of the North Carolina Academy of Science at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, N.C. on April 3-4. Faculty members Yuko Miyamoto, Michael Kingston, Jeffrey Coker and Linda Niedziela accompanied students Brian Beaty, Daniel Brown and Philip Zakas. The students presented their ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ research during the two day meeting.
Brian Beaty (mentor – Dr. Miyamoto) won first place honors in the poster session.
Daniel Brown (mentor – Dr. Niedziela) took second place in the behavioral biology, psychology, anthropology and physics oral presentation section.
Philip Zakas (mentor – Dr. Niedziela) presented in the environmental science section.
