About

SPARKS Peer Educators are a team of student leaders who provide health-related programming and serve the ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ community as health resources, in order to enhance the well-being of their peers.

SPARKS coordinate among three focus groups:

  • Mental Fitness
  • Sexual Health
  • Substance Education

SPARKS Peer Educators invite students to think critically about these and other health issues by raising questions, facilitating discussion, and disseminating health information.  SPARKS Peer Educators develop a multitude of skills, such as: leadership, public speaking, goal-setting, time management, team work, program planning and evaluation. All of these skills prove useful in life and future careers.
