Student Writer Intern

Majors: Environmental Studies and Public Policy

Favorite Sustainable living tip:聽Shop for clothes second hand and rent or borrow clothing for special occasions from friends! It saves money, the planet, and lets you connect with friends!

The Student Writer Intern promotes sustainability throughout campus through biweekly newsletters, articles, and other written pieces.

 

Caroline Halso (she/her)

Sustainability Stewards Intern

Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina

Major: English; Minors: Environmental Sustainability Studies, German Studies

The Sustainability Stewards Intern serves as the Student Coordinator for the Office of Sustainability’s Sustainability Stewards Program.

Social Media & Design Intern

Majors: Strategic Communications and Journalism; Minor: Spanish

Favorite sustainable living tip:聽Using natural sunlight and small lamps/string lights to limit electricity usage from large ceiling lights (and protect against eye strain!).

The Social Media & Design Intern develops and implements outreach materials (social media, digital signs, infographics, etc.) designed to increase awareness of sustainability practices, encourage their implementation and increase awareness of campus sustainability initiatives and accomplishments.

Outreach Intern

Major: Environmental & Sustainability Science; Minors:聽Biology, Theatrical Design & Technology

Favorite sustainable living tip:聽If you have leftover vegetable scraps, you can plant them and create your own mini vegetable garden!

The Outreach Intern works with student organization leaders on campus to promote sustainability.聽 They also manage the pop-up swap shop.
