ESP – Delegate With Confidence: Practical Delegation for Stronger Teams (IN-PERSON)
Thursday, April 16, 1:30-2:30 p.m. – Moseley Center, McKinnon F
Delegation is one of the most practical leadership skills…and one of the most avoided. When done well, it reduces bottlenecks, develops employees, and allows leaders to focus on the work that only they can do. In this one-hour session led by OLPD Director, Rochelle Stojnic, participants will learn a clear approach to delegation: selecting the right work to delegate, matching tasks to the right person, setting expectations without micromanaging, and following up in a way that supports accountability and learning. This event is also offered via Zoom on another date; be sure to register for the session you would like (in-person on April 16th or Zoom on April 21st). Snacks/drinks will be provided.

Mindfulness ERG & Thrive After 55 ERG – Mindfulness & Meditation for Stress Relief & Joy
Tuesday, April 21, 12:15-1:30 p.m. – Lakeside 212
Join us for a combined re-launch session of the Mindfulness ERG and the Thrive After 55 ERG!
Got a mind? This session is for you. The Mindfulness ERG is relaunching this spring with one simple premise: the brain you were born with was not designed for the world you are living in. Stress, distraction, and chronic overwhelm are not character flaws – they are a mismatch between ancient hardware and modern demands. Mindfulness practice is the training that closes the gap. Join us for our opening session, Introduction to Mindfulness for Stress Reduction and Joy. We will talk science, bust some myths, and actually practice breath awareness together. Lunch is provided; judgment is not.
There is a lot nobody tells you about the years after 55. The financial questions get more complex. The health decisions get more consequential. The family dynamics shift in ways you did not anticipate. Retirement – whenever it comes – turns out to be less a finish line and more a beginning that requires its own kind of preparation. Our re-launch session starts where all of this begins: the mind. Introduction to Mindfulness for Stress Reduction and Joy will explore why the modern world is hard on the human brain, what mindfulness practice actually is, and give you tools you can use…because meeting this chapter well requires more than the right financial plan. It requires a mind steady enough to use it.
Lunch will be provided for registered attendees. Any questions? Please contact Bob Martin at bmartin23@elon.edu
