¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Dialogue Experience Guides

Dialogue is a process that brings people together to share their perspectives and lived experiences around meaningful and sometimes challenging social issues. Through open and respectful conversation, participants are invited to explore different viewpoints, deepen understanding, and strengthen their ability to live, learn, and work collaboratively across difference.

At Elon, dialogue reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive community where every voice is valued, and learning extends beyond the classroom. It helps dispel stereotypes, cultivate empathy, and inspire both personal growth and collective action for a more just and connected world. Dialogue encourages participants to engage thoughtfully, challenge ideas without dismissing others’ beliefs, and build trust across diverse backgrounds.

Dialogue Opportunities

Active Citizen Series: Deliberative Dialogue – Selecting Candidates on Your Election Ballot
Monday, September 28, 4:30pm, Lakeside 212
When you cast your ballot during the midterm elections, how will you decide whom to vote for? How will you decide what makes an effective elected official? Elections provide an opportunity for voters to select the leaders who will shape how our municipalities, counties, states, and nations are governed. Making informed decisions about who we vote for has a direct impact on our daily lives and the lives of our fellow citizens. This dialogue will provide an opportunity to explore the issues that matter most to you and to consider how you might select candidates who best represent your values and your needs.
Sponsored by the Kernodle Center for Civic Life, Political Engagement Work Group, and Elon Votes!

Better Together
Better Together is the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life’s lunchtime dialogue program – a space for connection, conversation, and bridge-building, where participants reflect on this moment we are living in together. Better Together offers a facilitated conversation around a central theme, a chance to share perspectives and views, and to learn from others. ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ, faculty, and staff are invited to come to the table as you are – whether curious, reflective, or just hungry for lunch or community connections.

Fall 2026 events will be posted soon.
