Black Student Union Executive Board Meeting Notes (2021-2022)

2020 Executive board met with President Book, Vice President of Student Life Dr. Jon Dooley, and Dr. Randy Williams the Vice President and associate provost of Inclusive Excellence. The meeting focused on areas of success for Black students, areas of improvement, and the role that BSU, faculty, and staff can play in the Black student ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ experience.

2021 President, Christina Carr, Vice President, Mahogany Madden-Roberts, and Vice President of Communications, Aleezah Adams, met with Police Chief LeMire. The focus of the meeting was to welcome the new Police Chief to campus and ask questions about future partnerships with BSU.

2021 Executive board met with Police Chief Lemire. The meeting focused on introducing the new University police chief to the board, goals of building a growing relationship with BSU and campus police, current issues, concerns with ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Police, and areas of growth.

2021 Executive board met with Vice President of Student Life Dr. Jon Dooley, and Dr. Randy Williams the Vice President and Associate Provost of Inclusive Excellence. The meeting focused on introducing the new board, plans to work with campus police, questions about what is happening at Elon with diversity and inclusion work, and ideas to better improve BSU and its connection to students.

The meeting focused on answering questions from students to be brought to Administration regarding Black student-focused programming, mental health awareness, and bias.
