The Village Project

One-on-one instruction for struggling Kindergarten through 5th grade readers and parental support in a non-threatening setting at no cost. Each participating student will receive a nutritious meal at every session.

Additionally, adult education ESL/Spanish language classes are available for parents of our students in collaboration with Alamance Community College and our own small group instruction.

  • Weekly from 5-7 PM (T, W, Th)
  • Free dinner provided by ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Dining.
  • Expert tutoring provided by dedicated ABSS teachers and passionate ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students, who work together to support each student’s academic success and growth.
  • Parent programs are provided to support learning at home (study skills, computer literacy, community resource fairs, English classes).
  • Program evaluation from de-identified student assessment data, teacher & parent surveys, parent focus groups.
