The Rev. Dr. Janet F. Fuller, who has dedicated her professional career to higher education ministry, most recently as chaplain for Hollins University in Roanoke, Va., has been selected to serve as the next chaplain at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ.

The Rev. Andrew More O’Connor, a parish priest for Holy Family in the Bronx in New York City and founder of a nonprofit apparel line that provides a living wage to Mayan Indian weavers in Guatemala, will deliver ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s 2011 Baccalaureate sermon on May 20 in Alumni Gym at 3 p.m.

As you clean out your dorm room or apartment this month, instead of tossing furniture and clothing that you couldn't sell on E-net into the nearest trash bin, consider a donation to area charities that are working in coordination with the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life and the Office of Sustainability to help others in the community while minimizing the amount of waste dumped into local landfills.

What does the future hold for the United States now that Osama bin Laden is dead? And why did Americans feel the need to celebrate someone’s death? A panel of faculty and students addressed those questions and more on May 9 in a community discussion sponsored by the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ is hosting a special community event Monday afternoon, "Forum on the Death of Osama Bin Laden, Reactions at Elon and Around the World, and Future Implications,” where a panel of faculty and students will facilitate a conversation surrounding the terrorist's death. The forum takes place at 5:30 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theatre.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ and staff from ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ gathered May 1 in Graham, N.C., for the dedication of the 20th Habitat for Humanity home built by Elon volunteers since the international nonprofit program first established a chapter at the university in 1989.

Hank Brodt, a survivor of the Plaszow concentration camp, will share his story of the Holocaust on Monday, May 2, at 7 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theatre.
