The School of Communications has had nine LAGRANT scholars in the last five years.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students captured 12 awards in the Southeast Colloquium Creative Contest, a creative competition for members of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) and Broadcast Education Association (BEA).

The associate professor of strategic communications examined the copywriting career of Margaret Fishback, a highly prolific writer of advertising copy, poems and magazine articles.

The strategic communications major designed a sustainable campaign for New York Fashion Week to become one of the five finalists in this year’s competition.

The recent graduate worked through COVID-19 and the Texas winter storm to generate funds for Austin Pets Alive!, a no-kill animal shelter in Austin.
