On March 13th, 2024 Elon graduate admissions invites all Elon students and employees interested in graduate education opportunities at Elon to an informational dinner reception in Turner Theatre. Learn about the graduate programs Elon has to offer.

The paper by Barker, an assistant professor of mathematics and statistics, appeared in the Online Learning Journal and focused on using topic modeling, a type of computational text mining, to identify participant motivations in enrolling in an online professional development course for ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ statistics.

Jeffrey Carpenter, professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program, Scott Morrison, associate professor of education, Dani Toma-Harrold '23 and their co-authors published the article in the journal Teaching and Teacher Education.

The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Board of Trustees met on Feb. 15 and granted tenure and approved promotions for several faculty members.

Cherrel Miller Dyce, associate professor and executive director executive director of diversity, equity, and inclusion, in the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education, completes a second year in the inaugural "Inquiry Initiative" sponsored by the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE). The Initiative was the "first of its kind" collaborative exploration of teacher education practices and research, focused on "opportunity gaps" in education.

Coauthored by Carducci, Jordan Harper and Adrianna Kezar, "Higher Education Leadership" challenges conventional paradigms in the field, advocating for liberatory systemic change within and beyond higher education organizations.

Matt Trez and Zoë Rein from the Class of 2023 were part of a new program for recent Elon graduates who want to earn a master’s degree from the university on a full scholarship when they teach for two years in the Alamance-Burlington School System.

"Co-Teaching in Teacher Education: Centering Equity" examines teacher preparation programs that have successfully used a co-¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ model to improve the clinical experience for teacher candidates and to instill a disposition for equitable practice. The volume challenges teacher preparation programs to prepare educators to work together to support all students in today's diverse classrooms.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study, and ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ opportunities to recent graduates in more than 140 countries, with approximately 2,200 grants awarded annually in all fields of study.

Nearly 300 students from Eastern Guilford Middle School visited campus on Jan. 17.
