The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ graduate was selected as the winner of the Lexus Vine Challenge, presented by the Jimmy Fallon-hosted program. Her Vine video was recognized during the late-night show’s April 10 telecast.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s Premier Sport & Event Society brought together professionals from various aspects of the communications, event planning and sports industries on April 7 to share their insight and advice.

Brian Hopkins ’98, Nathan Rode ’07, Jocelyn Fern ’07 and Joseph DiRienzo ’14 don’t play on the diamond, but the ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ alumni have found worthwhile careers in baseball. 

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students and alumni came together to create a minute-long commercial for the American sporting goods brand, which the company promoted and praised on its Facebook page on March 16.

The School of Communications alumnus and a colleague won the biennial Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism for an in-depth program focused on women's health rights and abortion in Texas.

Rachel Southmayd Campbell ’13 and Ashley Fahey '13 were recognized March 14 with 2014 South Carolina Press Association awards. 

The 2015 Nashville Film Festival celebrates "That Other Crazy Thing You Do," a short narrative film written by ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ graduate Michelle Leibel ’14. 

During the last year, ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ graduate Alex Hadden ’13 has worked on a documentary, titled “BRAND: A Second Coming," that features entertainment personality Russell Brand. The film will have its world premiere March 13 at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.

Several ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ graduates earned top honors in the North Carolina Press Association’s 2014 News, Editorial and Photojournalism Contest. The alumni winners, ​led by Kristin Zachary '09 and Scott Muthersbaugh '06, were celebrated at the association's annual Winter Institute Feb. 26.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ and faculty from ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ's School of Communications placed in several awards categories in the 2015 Broadcast Education Association’s Festival of Media Arts. They will be recognized at the organization's annual conference April 12-15 in Las Vegas.
