The Department of Performing Arts hosts four shows of an award-winning play that examines early perceptions of HIV/AIDS and gay rights. "Angels in America" runs April 10-13 in McCrary Theatre.

Five Elon students competed at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Mid-Atlantic Region competition and conference on Saturday, April 5.

The company's spring dance concert opened Thursday and runs through Saturday night in McCrary Theatre inside the Center for the Arts.

Three ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ seniors debut original stage productions this week in Yeager Recital Hall for a program that celebrates their creativity as Honors and Elon College fellows in the Department of Performing Arts. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. each night.

The March 2014 edition lists ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ among "three college dance science programs to consider" in an article headlined "Where Science and Dance Meet."

Critic Terry Teachout compliments work by the associate professor of performing arts for costume designs in the "The Life & Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, Parts I and II" being performed by the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre.

The film will be screened at the biggest festival of its kind in Amsterdam.

The Department of Performing Arts presents one of William Shakespeare's most popular tales in the Black Box Theatre. The show returns for four days starting Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 7:30 p.m.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 Friday, 2 & 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday
