Omri Shimron, associate professor of music, opened Randolph College's Guest Artist Series for the 2012-2013 season, with a performance of Frederic Rzewki's "36 Variations on The People United Will Never Be Defeated!".

Jacob Danieley '10 produced a new LP titled "Telling The Story" for the Sneed Family, due to be released this Christmas. Jacob also engineered and performed on many of the tracks.

Professor of Music Thomas Erdmann had his article, Thinking Forward And Staying True: Ishmael Wadada Leo Smith, published in the October 2012 issue of the International Trumpet Guild Journal.

Elon is offering trumpet lessons for both music majors and non-majors.
