To celebrate ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s Spring Undergraduate Research Forum on April 29, Today at Elon is highlighting several students presenting their research at the annual campus tradition.

The university's top ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ research award comes with $20,000 to support and celebrate academic and creative achievements.

The Lumen Prize-winning junior has twice published essays about her research in Albinism Insight, the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation's quarterly journal, after funding allowed her to travel to its national conference last summer.

Hinton is the fourth student to be selected from Elon for this honor in the past two years.

Dahdal, a 2024 Lumen Scholar, is researching how to use LiDAR technology to gather vital signs from medical patients without touching them. It’s one of several research endeavors he has taken on throughout his time at Elon.

A Lumen Scholar and biochemistry major, Romano studied in Germany as an ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ before earning her medical degree from Eberhard Karls Universität in Tübingen, Germany.

The mathematics and statistics students got the unique opportunity to interact with experts in other fields for their research.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Sol Addison '25 and Lila Snodgrass '26 gave oral presentations at two conference this summer. At the Unknot V conference for Knot Theory, Addison and Snodgrass's presentation was the only ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ talk to be featured without a parallel session.

Associate Professor of Chemistry Vickie Moore and one of her former research students, Seth McKee '21 published a scientific article from McKee's Honors Thesis.
