Federalist Society hosts dialogue about the International Criminal Court

On Sept. 19, Professor Ronald Rychlak of the University of Mississipi School of Law spoke to Elon Law students about the International Criminal Court (ICC) and how it affects international conflicts and peace negotiations. Elon Law's Federalist Society organized the event.

Elon Law’s Phi Alpha Delta receives national awards

Elon Law's Hooper Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) received two national awards in September at the Phi Alpha Delta District XXV Conference. The awards were: The Most Outstanding Chapter in District XXV for the 2010-11 Academic Year and The "Meet or Beat Recruitment Award" for the 2010-11 Academic Year.

Scott Gaylord and Andy Haile publish article in the North Carolina Law Review

Elon Law professors Scott Gaylord and Andy Haile co-authored the article, "Constitutional Threats in the E-Commerce Jungle: First Amendment and Dormant Commerce Clause Limits on Amazon Laws and Use Tax Reporting Statutes." The article was published in the September 2011 edition of the North Carolina Law Review.

Minority Perspectives in the Profession of Law – Oct. 19

Please Join the Black Law þ Association and the Office of Career Services at Elon Law for a panel entitled "Minority Perspectives in the Profession" this Wednesday from 5:15-6:15 pm. There will be a reception from 6:15-7:15. The location is Classroom 204 followed by the reception in Cemala Commons. Panelists will share their career paths and the experiences/challenges they have faced as a minority through law school and their careers, thus far.
