Forty teams representing 24 law schools visited ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law for an April event that challenged students to deftly argue questions of First Amendment rights versus the role of government in protecting public health and safety.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law Associate Professor Enrique Armijo penned a column for North Carolina's largest newspapers in which he argues that state lawmakers passed an unconstitutional law this spring by limiting the rights of local towns and counties to create nondiscrimination ordinances. 

The legal pioneer and former presidential contender will join Elon Law Associate Professor David Levine, host of the "Hearsay Culture" radio program that Levine founded out of KZSU-FM at Stanford University, for an April 26 recorded "live" interview in Greensboro.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law’s associate dean for experiential learning and leadership took part in a panel discussion on leadership education at a symposium hosted by the University of Tennessee College of Law.

The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law's new approach to legal education earned praise in U.S. News & World Report’s "Best Graduate Schools 2017" guidebook.

An accomplished legal scholar, Charles Geyh - the first speaker in the newly constituted Dean's Lecture Series at Elon Law - will propose a new way of looking at how the role of the American judiciary should be conceptualized and regulated. 

"There’s a better way to do this, and it starts with a redesigned curriculum grounded in the realities of being a modern lawyer."

The director of Elon Law's Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic visited Nairobi for presentations on March 22-23, 2016, focused on her educational work and advocacy efforts in the United States. 

Meghan Smith and Jackson Barnes, second year Elon Law students, were recognized for their exemplary professionalism at the Eighth Annual Charleston School of Law National Moot Court Competition on March 18-19, 2016. Smith and Jackson won the competition's Professionalism Award, selected by the Charleston Moot Court Board as the team best representing professional integrity, courtesy, and esteem throughout the competition.
