Crossroads Sexual Assault Response and Resource Center is hosting a 21 hour crisis intervention volunteer training during the month of February.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students are taking part for the first time this winter in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program to assist eligible community members with preparing their tax returns.

The $5,000 grant will help student volunteers continue to provide 200-plus meals to community members each week through a collaborative relationship with Allied Churches of Alamance County and the Community Services Agency of Alamance County.

Led by ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ sophomore Annie Segal, students volunteering for the Salvation Army collected more than $100 this fall while also gathering gifts through the nonprofit's Angel Tree and Stocking Stuffers programs. 

Habitat for Humanity International and State Farm awarded the grant to support ongoing construction of a home for a family in Burlington, North Carolina.
