Four members of the faculty at Elon Law travelled to Florida to participate in the 14th Biennial Conference of the Legal Writing Institute, held June 27 through July 1.

At the 2010 annual meeting of the Business Law, Corporate Counsel and International Law and Practice Sections of the North Carolina Bar Association, Elon Law professor Thomas Molony delivered the North Carolina Business Law Update, reviewing the implications of key business and commercial law cases recently decided by North Carolina courts.

Elon Law professor Faith Rivers James recently presented a paper on leadership as part of the Association of Leadership Educators (ALE) annual conference. The 2010 ALE Conference, titled "Learning, Leading, Serving" was held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, June 20 to 23.

Elon Law professor and criminal law expert Michael Rich is contributing during the month of August as a guest writer for "Snitching Blog," a comprehensive resource on legal developments, legislation, and news stories surrounding criminal informants.

Elon Law professor Henry Gabriel recently spoke at the World Bank Roundtable on Responsible Agricultural Development in Washington D.C on UNIDROIT's Role in Food Security and Agricultural Finance. He also spoke at the International Law Institute in Washington D.C. on The Proposed UNIDROIT Protocol on Agricultural Equipment Finance.
