New research by an ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ alumna and her faculty mentor concludes that Nintendo’s Wii Fit benefits older people looking to improve and maintain balance, a key measure of fitness that both researchers say is often underappreciated by elders.

Children needed for research study

Researchers are looking for children (ages 11-12) to participate in a Department of Exercise Science research study examining the relationship between physical activity and cognition. Children will have the opportunity to play Xbox 360 and Xbox Kinect games.

Civic Engagement Scholars alumni impact community

Elon professors receive grant for concussion study

A team of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ researchers will examine the effects of concussions in student-athletes using a grant of nearly $17,000 awarded this month by the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
