Doug McAdam, a professor at Stanford University and pioneer in analyzing social movements, will visit Elon April 18-19 and give a public lecture. McAdam will speak on “The Long-term Civic Impact of Youth Activism: The Curious Contrast between Freedom Summer and Teach for America" at 7:30 p.m., April 18, in Whitley Auditorium.

Evan A. Gatti, an assistant professor in the Department of Art and Art History, presented "The Bishop's Two Bodies and the Image In-Between" at the Midwest Art History Society's annual conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 15.

Four new majors will be offered to ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students starting in the fall. Early childhood education is an addition to the School of Education’s programs; information science replaces the current computer information systems major in the Department of Computing Sciences; and public health studies, and arts administration, are both interdisciplinary majors within Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences.
