The Elon alumna was recently named a member of Report for America’s 2021-22 reporting corps, a national service program that places journalists in local newsrooms to report on under-covered issues and communities.

Here's a look at where some of the 2021 School of Communications grads are headed after Elon.

On May 17, the evening before their Commencement ceremony, 18 graduate students in �þ���'s Interactive Media master's program virtually shared their capstone projects with professionals, faculty and staff, family and friends.

These current students and alumni have been selected for the prestigious program that offers opportunities for recent graduates in more than 140 countries.

The 18 members of the Master of Arts in Interactive Media Class of 2021 were honored for their hard work and dedication to their studies during the program's Commencement ceremony at Alumni Gym on Tuesday, May 18.

During their May 14 presentations, three student groups highlighted their work with their respective North Carolina organizations: HeARToscope, Terra Cotta Heritage Foundation, and the African American Cultural Arts and History Center.

The broadcast journalism major wrote, executive produced and stars in a feature-length film, titled “Shapeless,” that touches on her personal struggles with an eating disorder.

Natalie Cummins ’21, a student-athlete on the �þ��� women’s volleyball team, was named the department's Major of the Year Award recipient.

During the 2020-21 academic year, graduate students Matthew Harrell G’21 and Madeleine Horrell G’21 served as studio managers, ensuring that �þ��� students could broadcast and televise during the pandemic.

At the annual Faculty/Staff Awards Luncheon on May 12, the Elon community honored faculty and staff members who are retiring this year.
