Fifteen School of Communications students were among the many student researchers who presented their work at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ's selective Student Undergraduate Research Forum April 27.

The Pendulum Online, the Web companion to The Pendulum student newspaper, was named a 2011 finalist in the Associated Collegiate Press Online Pacemaker competition April 27. The Pacemaker is the highest honor ACP gives its members.

The Pendulum, Elon's award-winning daily news gathering organization, will have several executive staff positions open starting in the fall semester, and applications are due TODAY.

What does it take to stand out as a job applicant in a competitive media and marketing industry, where companies are bombarded with applications and portfolios for their few open positions? Five panelists addressed that question and more on April 21 in a panel discussion held as part of the annual Interactive Media Showcase in McKinnon Hall.

"One on One Sports," ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ's student-run sports debate talk show, will air three hours of live coverage and online streaming of the 2011 NFL Draft Thursday, April 28 in Studio A of the McEwen School of Communications. The draft special will feature a live studio audience and incorporate student participation.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s Imagining the Internet Center has been named a laureate in the 2011 Computerworld Honors Program. Computerworld Honors, founded in 1998 is the longest running global program to honor individuals and organizations that use information technology to promote positive social, economic and educational change.

Tom Nelson, an associate professor in the School of Communications, was interviewed on the German American Radio Hour on WCPN Radio/TV Northeast Ohio Public Radio in Cleveland April 9 about his film "Prisoners of Plenty."
