The Sport and Event Management Department hosted its fall 2015 Project Palooza, showcasing student work conducted during the semester.

Elon Local News will premiere its documentary “Elon Local News Presents: The Threads of Burlington” at 7 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theater in ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s Koury Business Center.

Five students and one staff member from the School of Communications provided video and social media coverage for the annual forum that brings together world leaders to discuss topics relating to food, health and prosperity. Two other Elon students attended the conference as fellows.

Chris Ekstrand, a consultant for the National Basketball Association, shared his journey from middling high school athlete and fledgling sports writer to a one-of-a-kind position with the world’s most prominent basketball league.

Carol Pyszkowski’s capstone project, supported by the Premier Sport and Event Society, provided more than 40 ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students an inside look into the professional sports and arena management industries.

A contingent of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students, faculty and staff members traveled to Atlanta to attend the annual public relations-focused conventions, where alumna Heather Harder ’14 was presented with a prestigious PRSSA award.
