Jonathan Jones, instructor in communications and director of the N.C. Open Government Coalition, offered insights for the article, "A daily's loss in court may cause journalists to rethink how they communicate."

The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ journalism major and former Pendulum editor-in-chief started the Hearst Corp.’s two-year fellowship program in August, assigned to the San Francisco Chronicle.

As part of his Oct. 25 on-campus lecture, The New York Times Magazine contributing reporter outlined his expansive, 42,000-word article on the Middle East, detailing the nearly two years he spent developing a storyline involving six main characters.

Two alumni and a student also lead sessions at the conference, which was held Oct. 20-23 in Washington, D.C.

The Burlington Times-News and The Huffington Post recently featured a guest column by Anthony Hatcher, associate professor of communications, who writes about the lessons learned from students who disagree without being disagreeable. 

Elon Communications professor David Bockino writes about how social media is impacting our travel plans and experiences.
