Emily McLaughlin ’12 felt the power of community and the Elon alumni network when she launched her new business, Kindred Bread Co., right before COVID-19 took hold of the nation.

The eight-week summer program was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and provided aspiring public relations professionals with access to top agency executives and webinars on strategic planning, data, social media strategy and crisis communications.

Hall, who served as a member of the �þ��� Board of Trustees for 35 years, passed away Aug. 30, 2020, at the age of 86.

The paper, which stemmed from her research while a student in Elon's program, measured the shoulder strength and range of motion of circus artists.
