Katherine Gilliam-Ruffin Pinson '81 received the Virginia Military Institute Distinguished Service Award, the highest recognition given to a civilian working at the Lexington, Va., school.

Kevin Burrows G'10, of the School of Communications’ iMedia graduate program, and Tom Nelson, an associate professor from the School of Communications, traveled to Cloud County, Kan., the week of May 22, 2011, to construct an interactive website for the county’s museum and historical society.

Meaghan Britain, a 2011 Strategic Communications graduate, is the recipient of a U.S. State Department scholarship to study, work and live in Germany for a year.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ has released its President's List and Dean's List academic recognitions for the 2011 spring semester.

David Edmond Wesley Schlosser of Greensboro, N.C., who graduated from Elon on May 21 with a bachelor's degree in computer science, died unexpectedly on June 2. A funeral liturgy will be held Monday, June 6, at 11 a.m., at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2210 North Elm Street, Greensboro.

A team of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ staff and graduate students led by Ross Wade, assistant director of Career Services in the School of Communications, won an Innovative Excellence Award on June 2 from the National Association of Colleges and Employers at the organization’s national conference in Dallas.
