Elon Phoenix fans at campus sporting events have new opportunities this year to divert waste from local landfills by using dedicated collection bins for food, plastic, paper and trash.

Aileen Kenney visits ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ for an evening talk on Monday meant to engages the community in conversations about renewable energy. Her visit is sponsored by the Elon Core Curriculum, the Office of Sustainability and the Office of Residence Life.

A contest that debuted this fall challenged students, faculty and staff to reduce the amount of energy consumed in the buildings where they live and work.

A community event organized by students in the fall semester “Garden Studio” course featured pumpkin carving, fall-themed baked goods, music and more in the Elon Community Garden.
