The Elon Journal celebrates its 30th publication, highlighting nine student researchers exploring technology, identity and communication across digital and social landscapes.

Led by faculty members David Bockino, Colin Donohue and Staci Saltz, 45 first-year Communications Fellows traveled to Charlotte in November, visiting WSOC-TV, Pillar4 Media and NASCAR’s headquarters, and connecting with alumni working in the Queen City.

This semester, students from STS 4980 "Statistics Practicum" collaborated with partners from Labcorp, DLH Corporation and the Animal Park at the Conservators Center to complete impressive data-driven projects.

A student-curated exhibit of Chinese porcelain given to ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s Art Collection by Robert and Christi Bryden opened in Lindner Hall’s Inman Reading Room and will be on permanent display there.

Winter Break for ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students and some graduate programs begin after final exams on Friday, Dec. 13.

An interdisciplinary collaboration between ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s School of Communications and the Department of Performing Arts challenged students to apply their skills in innovative ways, showcasing the value of teamwork across academic disciplines.

Elon’s increase in the number of students studying abroad is a sign of the university’s continued commitment to 100% access to global education, one of the five Elon Experiences.

As part of their Event and Venue Management class, and in collaboration with the Charlotte Knights and the Matthews Help Center, students organized a youth sports gear drive during the Light the Knights festival at Truist Field.
