On Sunday, Sept. 29, Catholic �þ��� Ministry welcomed 350 students and parents for their annual Family Weekend Mass and brunch.

The Department of World Languages and Cultures, in collaboration with Sigma Delta Pi Honor Society and Global Neighborhood, hosted Lula Carballo, a Canadian author whose family migrated to Canada from Uruguay, and Émilie Guerette, a Canadian documentary filmmaker.

The indie film powerhouse and co-founder of the Slamdance Film Festival has directed several critically acclaimed films, including “18½,” a 1970s Watergate thriller that will be screened at 7 p.m. in Turner Theatre.

Karunatilaka’s “The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida” won the 2022 Booker Prize. He discussed his works with Assistant Professor of English Dinidu Karunanayake in Turner Theatre.

Study USA and National �þ��� Programs are hosting three meet and greet events for students to learn more about programs to live, intern, study, meet alumni and engage in enrichment activities in Charlotte, Los Angeles and New York City.

The event was held Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Snow Camp Outdoor Theater and involved students, faculty and staff scanning and digitizing local historical artifacts.
