The two student news organizations placed nationally in a pair of college media competitions.

The article co-authored by Deandra Little, director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning and associate professor of English, has been selected by a panel of international judges as the top article of 2015. 

The Frank S. Holt, Jr. Professor of Business Leadership’s article on transformational leadership was cited as the most influential article published by the journal during the 1990s.

Becky Neiduski, who joined Elon earlier this year as head of the School of Health Sciences, was honored earlier this month. 

Danielle Golinski is assistant director of career services for the Love School of Business. 

Holly Hodge, director of interior design at Elon, was recognized for her work at the association's recent annual meeting. 

Nominations are being accepted through Nov. 4 for the annual awards sponsored by the Young Alumni Council that honor deserving alumni who have graduated within the past decade. 

Four professors will work on projects that explore partnerships between students and faculty through dance technique, investigating the effects of learning with nature as a source, and experimenting with different ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ methods in the same course.

Paula Weller, Linda Poulson and Brian Nienhaus won second place for their co-authored accounting case.

Victoria Del Gaizo Moore, associate professor of chemistry, was appointed to the Education and Professional Development committee for the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in September.
