The Elon Music Ambassadors, directed by Virginia Novine Whittaker, recently completed a four-day performance tour of high schools in Northern Virginia and Maryland.

The assistant professor of physics presented "An optical biosensor for point-of-care medical diagnostics" at the 24th Anniversary World Congress on Biosensors held May 27-30, 2014, in Melbourne, Australia.

Professors Vanessa Bravo, Julie Lellis, Barbara Miller and Qian Xu all participated in the conference.

Assistant professor of mathematics Chad Awtrey and Elon ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs Brett Barkley '15, Jeremy Guinn '14 and Mackenzie McCraw '14 published their research article in the latest issue of the Pi Mu Epsilon Journal.

Natalie Sipala '15, early childhood minor and human service studies major, and Heidi Hollingsworth, assistant professor of education, co-authored an article in Milestones, a practitioner-oriented early care and education publication.

 

Heidi Hollingsworth, assistant professor of education, has published an article in the Early Childhood Education Journal, along with co-author Chih-Ing Lim, Investigator at the FPG Child Development Institute

 

The article is titled "Using Cultural Artifacts to Understand Self and Other: A Global Exchange in Elementary Classrooms."

The assistant professor of education recently published an article in the Journal for Science Teacher Education.

Professor of Music Thomas Erdmann had an article and CD review published in a professional trumpet journal.
