Ryan Harper ’25, Tess Hawthorne ’25 and Cierra Hopson ’25 lead the way as the first ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students to earn Advanced Data Competency Badges from Data Nexus, showcasing their exceptional skills in data analysis, interpretation and application in the workforce.

During her Nov. 1 acceptance speech, the Elon alumna shared her inspiring journey from an uncertain post-graduation start to becoming executive editor of PR Daily. Her story highlights the importance of resilience, curiosity and embracing unexpected paths.

Hosted in conjunction with the Department of Sport Management, the Nov. 8 event brought together students, faculty and industry professionals to discuss critical issues and insights through engaging networking sessions, classroom visits, and an afternoon panel in Turner Theatre.

During the Fall 2024 JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention, the multimedia journalism educator was presented with the 2024 Carl Towley Award acknowledging his lasting contributions to scholastic journalism.

Elon’s student newspaper, The Pendulum, also captured first place in the Liberty Awards for the best election print edition in collegiate journalism.

The professor of strategic communications and her coauthors examined how people reacted to companies that chose to support (or not support) social or political issues. The reaction varied based on the alignment between the company and the issue it supported, and it was influenced by perceived motives behind the company's advocacy.

Current students, alumni and faculty gathered on Nov. 1 during Homecoming & Reunion Weekend to toast five decades of informing Elon’s campus community.

Two sections of the Design of Visual Images course participated in AIGA’s Get Out the Vote initiative, creating posters that merged academic learning with civic engagement. Led by Assistant Professor Shannon Zenner, the project emphasized creative originality, research into voter issues, and the use of analog design to inspire action and highlight the importance of democratic participation.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ in Associate Professor Amanda Sturgill's Multiplatform News Editing class developed a website offering issue-based information on candidates in states where many Elon students are registered voters.

In a creative approach to increase voter turnout, the professor of strategic communications tasked her students with crafting personalized messages for family and friends.
