This week’s topic highlights the addition of blogs, wikis, and journals in the new Blackboard Learn. When used together, these tools allow students to collaborate, share information with their classmates, and post private information seen only by the instructor.

This week’s topic, The Course Environment, highlights some of the changes to the Blackboard interface. The redesigned interface decreases the number of clicks, adds drag and drop functionality, and the ability to quickly edit the course information.

On Oct. 14, Christopher Waters, assistant CIO and director of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ and learning technologies, and Scott Hildebrand, assistant director of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ and learning technologies, presented at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif.

Teaching and Learning Technologies recently hosted an Experience IT session featuring Google Apps. Rebecca Pope-Ruark, assistant professor of English, lead the session and demonstrated how she uses Google Apps in her courses.

This summer, Teaching and Learning Technologies piloted Adobe Connect in the Summer Online 2010 program to enhance the interactive component of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ and learning in the online environment. Read more...
