Baseball Block Party with free food, music and cornhole

Come out to Elon’s first annual baseball block party! Enjoy free food, music, a cornhole contest with prizes and support Elon as the baseball team takes on College of Charleston.

When: Friday, April 15, 4 – 6:30 p.m. (game begins at 6:30)
Where: Between the baseball field and the football stadium
Bonus: Sweet Signatures will sing the national anthem

To sign up for the cornhole contest, submit your name, your teammate’s name and your chosen team name to Nick Livengood ’12 at nlivengood@elon.edu.

Black Cultural Society book scholarship avaliable

Applications for the Black Cultural Society’s annual Mr. and Miss BCS Scholarship are now available. Applications can be found in the Multicultural Center in Moseley Center Room 221–B. This scholarship is open to male and female non-graduating students of a multicultural background. One award will be given per gender. Applications are due Friday, April 1, 2011 by 4 p.m. Please submit to Janice Ratliff in Moseley Room 206. Please direct all questions to Shante’ Barnwell at sbarnwell@elon.edu.

“J’adore…” fashion show audition – March 7

A final audition to participate in the “J’adore…” spring fashion show will be held on Sunday, March 7, from noon-1 p.m. in McKinnon. Ladies, please wear heels at least 3 inches, and men please wear dress shoes. The “J’adore…” spring fashion show is the only fashion show held at �þ��. “J’adore…” Fashion Show Tryouts

Tryouts for the “J’adore…” Fashion Show will be held Sunday, February 28, from 12:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in McKinnon D. A workshop will be held before in the same location from 11 a.m. to noon for anyone who wants additional help with their walk before official tryouts begin. The show is open to all students who want to participate in the only annual fashion show held at �þ��.

Come see how much you really know about the 90’s. This trivia game was designed to rack your brain about everything from television shows to some of your favorite childhood toys!

Come out for a chance to win some prizes! This event will be held in McCoy Commons – Oaks 212. All are welcome!

AKA Textbook Scholarship to be awarded on April 25

The Omicron Epsilon chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will offer a book scholarship, to be awarded at the 2009 Phillips-Perry Black Excellence Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 25, 2009.

The award will be given in the amount of $200 towards textbooks for the Fall 2009 semester. All female, minority students are encouraged to apply.

Requirements include: A minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, campus/community involvement, and two short-answer essays.

Applications are located in the Multicultural Center & are due by April 10, 2009.
