The Nathanael Greene Senate of professional law fraternity Delta Theta Phi will be holding its initiations at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law on Tuesday, March 17 at noon in the Robert E. Long Courtroom.

On February 26, Elon Law students presented research on affordable housing strategies before a broad range of government officials and non-profit professionals at a regional housing summit in Greensboro, North Carolina.

On Thursday, March 12, OutLaw, a student organization at Elon Law, will screen "Tying the Knot," a documentary about same-gender marriage, followed by a discussion led by Greensboro family law attorney Rebecca Perry.

On Friday, March 13, the William Hooper Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta will host its founding initiation ceremony at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law professor Steve Friedland has coauthored the book, "Inside Constitutional Law: What Matters and Why," released February 26 by Aspen Publishers.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law will host an Admissions Open House from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday, March 14 at the H. Michael Weaver building, home of the law school in downtown Greensboro, N.C., with a continental breakfast available at 9:30 a.m.

Former North Carolina Supreme Court Justice and ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law distinguished jurist in residence, James G. Exum Jr., has been honored with the 2009 John McNeil Smith Jr. Constitutional Rights and Responsibilities Section Award by the North Carolina Bar Association.

Howard Katz, a professor at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law, provided analysis for News 14 Carolina on March 4, focused on the municpal management challenges that arise during staff and leadership transitions.  

The Women’s Law Association (WLA) at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law will host its first annual Run/Walk for Charity on March 14, starting at 9:00 a.m. at Northeast Park in Gibsonville, North Carolina.

In the American Bar Association's February 23 edition of its Preview of United States Supreme Court Cases,  ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law Associate Professor Margaret Kantlehner explores the impact of a Congressional Resolution of apology on the authority of the state of Hawaii to sell, exchange, or transfer state land.
