As part of Black History Month, Latin American Student Organization (LASO) and Elon African Society (EAS) are collaborating for an extraordinary event to raise awareness about the mixing that has taken place in the African journey through time and places.

Along with all of the dancing and eating, we will be having informal presentations on different ways that Africa has affected Latin American cultures. There will be history lessons, culture lessons and even dance lessons. And did we mention the free food?

Countries represented include:

  • Brazil
  • Colombia
  • Cuba
  • Dominican Republic
  • Honduras
  • Panama
  • Peru
  • Puerto Rico

Invite your friends and make a memory with LASO and EAS. This event is free and open to the public.

Please join us as we celebrate our anniversary and Latino cultures and diversity. Come and enjoy some delicious food, and dancing to Latin rhythms.
