]]> ELONTHON 2005…Third annual fundraiser was a success! /u/news/2005/03/07/elonthon-2005-third-annual-fundraiser-was-a-success/ Mon, 07 Mar 2005 21:20:00 +0000 /u/news/2005/03/07/elonthon-2005-third-annual-fundraiser-was-a-success/ March 5th and 6th of 2005 the Nest was decorated with fun bright colors, filled with games, activities, and some very dedicated students. 304 student participants and volunteers stood up for Children’s Miracle Network and Duke Children’s Hospital. Although the hours were long, the students who stood, dance and played with heart.

The most important participants of the day were the 6 miracle families who joined us at the event and told their stories and gave the students the energy to press on through the night. The final total will be announced in a few weeks.

The students of Elon who participated in the 24 hour stand on your feet entertainment extravaganza left alumni gym at 11:30 am on Sunday with nothing but smiles on their faces.

Why you ask?

Well their hard work paid off…they raised over $36,000 dollars for Children’s Miracle Network and Duke Children’s Hospital!

A big thank you goes out to all of the dancers, organizers, miracle families and supporters.
