DC Chapter Wine 101 and exclusive tasting – Oct. 26

Wine 101 and exclusive tasting
Phillip Carter Winery in Hume, VA
Sunday, October 26, 1-5:30 p.m. $35/person with bus, $30/person without bus transportation

The Philip Carter Winery is hosting a Wine 101 and exclusive wine tasting for alumni. The event will provide an education on wine making basics, the different types of wine and guided tours of the facilities of their winery plus a private wine tasting consisting of 10 different wines followed by a glass of your favorite. Gourmet Virginia cheeses, meats and crackers will be provide during the tasting.

Motorcoach transportation will be provided from the Vienna Metro station and is included in the cost. The bus will leave at 1 p.m. from Vienna station, on the south side of I-66 near the “Kiss & Ride.” Alumni will return to the parking lot at 5:30 p.m.

Charlotte Alumni Service Day Saturday, Nov. 1

Step Out to Fight Diabetes on Saturday, Nov. 1 with the Charlotte Alumni Chapter.

Alumni will meet at 8:30 am at the Freedom Park in Charlotte.

This 3.5 mile non-competitive fitness walk will begin and end in Freedom Park with the route taking participants throughout the beautiful surrounding Dilworth neighborhood. So grab your shoes and bring your friends, families, coworkers and man’s best friend for a fun filled morning of exercise, music, food and festivities!

Come join the Piedmont Triad Alumni Chapter as they walk in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The walk will take place at Wake Forest University on Oct. 25, 2008.

Walkers will meet at Davis Field at 9 a.m. for registration and the walk begins at 10 a.m.

Service Day with the Boston Alumni Chapter Oct. 4

Join us at Cradles to Crayons in Quincy on Oct. 4 from 9:45 a.m.-noon to participate in service. We will be assisting with sorting donations of toys, games, clothes, books and supplies for children and families. It will be fun and easy!
