During professional discovery week, students, faculty, and staff can come to the “Careers in the Common Good” panel to hear from recent alums and a former AmeriCorps member who are doing just that: making a living by serving their communities.

The panel will be held Feb. 12 from 7-8 p.m. in the Moseley Commuter Lounge.

This event is sponsored by the Kernodle Center for Service Learning, Career Center’s Professional Discovery Week and the Office of Civic Engagement.

Please contact Katharine Baas at kbaas@elon.edu or 336-278-7249 with any questions.

Turn in service hours before Winter Break /u/news/2007/11/08/turn-in-service-hours-before-winter-break/ Thu, 08 Nov 2007 21:27:00 +0000 /u/news/2007/11/08/turn-in-service-hours-before-winter-break/ Are you getting excited about having a fun filled winter break?

We want to help you enjoy your winter break. We’re going to help you do this by letting you have even less to do over the break!

Please submit all service hours you’ve completed over the fall semester to the Kernodle Center for Service Learning (230 Moseley) before leaving for winter break.

It is important that you turn in both your individual and group service hours so they can be added to your Elon Experiences Transcript. This data will also be included in the annual “Service at Elon” report. Without information about your service, we will be unable to show the contributions you and your groups have made to the surrounding community.

Please visit http://www.elon.edu/e-web/students/service_learning/validation.xhtml or stop by the office (230 Moseley) to pick up the validation forms.

Please contact Katharine Baas (kbaas@elon.edu or 336-278-7249) with any questions.

Thanks!
