Intern with Easter Seals UCP in Summer 2012

Easter Seals UCP, located in Greensboro, is looking for an intern for Summer 2012. This position will specifically work with the Development Manager to plan, market and execute fundraising events for Easter Seals UCP, which provides disability services.

Responsibilities include:

-creating marketing materials for numerous events

-reaching out to local sponsors and organizations for support

-executing events during the summer months

-other duties as assigned

Elon Athletics Phoenix Club internship opportunity

The Phoenix Club is looking for an intern this fall to assist with event management and athletic development.

Primary responsibilities will include:

*assisting the Phoenix Club staff with fundraising

*assisting and coordinating multiple events, such as golf tournaments, hospitalities and game management

*assisting in donor relations and advisory board management

Phoenix Club to host “Night of the Phoenix”

The Phoenix Club will host ‘The Night of the Phoenix featuring The Passing Zone’ as a fundraising event on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009. The event, held in Alumni Gymnasium on Elon’s campus, will begin with a social hour at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner with a silent auction being held throughout the event.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Phoenix Club in support of student-athlete scholarships and will count toward 2008-2009 fundraising efforts.

Tables of eight are on sale for ‘The Night of the Phoenix’ and can be purchased for $1,500 (gold sponsorship) or $1,000 (maroon sponsorship). Gold sponsors will receive preferred seating location, parking and dinner with a special guest. There will be 18 gold sponsorship tables available. Dress for the event is business attire. Table prices include dinner, drinks and entertainment for the evening and a portion of the cost will be tax deductible.

Donate shoes to support those in need

Donate new or gently used shoes this week to support families in Third World countries who walk barefoot throughout the day.

Shoe bins are located in Koury Athletic Center during the basketball games this week: Today (11/28) and Saturday (12/1).

Sponsored by the Student Athlete Advisory Council.

Elon tennis at home this weekend, March 2-3

Come out and support Elon’s men’s and women’s tennis teams as they take on Wofford this weekend. The women play Friday at 2 pm, and the men play Saturday at 12 pm. This is the first conference match for both teams, so come out and support your team!
