Leaders of a student organization that fights hunger in Alamance County invited Elon President Leo M. Lambert and his wife, Laurie, to prepare meals with them this month as they celebrated a $5,000 grant to expand their impact across the region.

A weekend symposium offered alumni an opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater while sharing their current work as ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ marked the 10th anniversary of its art history program.

Two representatives of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces will visit campus for a Wednesday evening discussion about the Syrian uprising. Their visit is sponsored by Elon's Center for the Study of Religion, Culture, and Society.

Elon President Leo M. Lambert bestowed the ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership this week on an internationally acclaimed artist who directs proceeds from his business ventures to marine wildlife conservation efforts and oceanic research projects.

The first ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Poll of the spring semester finds support in the Tar Heel State for two familiar names as several national politicians begin to express interest in succeeding President Barack Obama.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s top prize for ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ research and creative achievement assisted senior Omolayo Ojo in her efforts to share why people from Senegal move to the United States, and what effect those moves have on families left behind.

A team that includes Associate Professor Janet MacFall and Assistant Professor Ryan Kirk will use a $25,000 grant from the state Department of Commerce to help grow retail opportunities for farmers in two North Carolina counties.

A February symposium brings graduates, scholars and art lovers to campus to learn about trends in art history and the accomplishments of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ art history alumni. A keynote lecture on Feb. 27, 2015, is free and open to the public.
