Need a face painter this Saturday (Feb. 25) for a children’s carnival

This Saturday, February 25th, the SuperCharge! Alamance team will be hosting a carnival for children. SuperCharge! is a strategic campaign created by a group of Elon students that aims to increase awareness among children, teenagers, and their parents of the serious short and long-term consequences of obesity, inform them of the steps they can take to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and provide incentives to take action now.

The carnival will take place this Saturday from 10:30am-12:00pm in the Holly Hill Mall. The SuperCharge! team is looking for someone who could face paint for that time… small, simple designs and symbols (as simple as hearts and stars and lightning bolts!). Please e-mail kjacobsen2@elon.edu if you could help out… they would really appreciate it!

Lights Out Bingo-March 11

Residence Life, RSA and the Office of Sustainability are co-sponsoring Midnight Meals and Bingo on Thursday, March 11. The first 100 people to arrive will be given prizes at the door – prizes will include a flat screen TV and a Wii!

WANNABE Lip-Sync Competition March 4

RSA is hosting a lip-sync competition called “Wannabe” on March 4th at 7:30 pm in McKinnon. Teams of 5-8 students and/or faculty can sign up as a team to perform for the audience and judges. The teams will be judged on lip-synch ability, costumes, entertainment, originality, etc. The winning team will recieve $500! If anyone is interested in signing up, they can e-mail abradbury2@elon.edu or ebentson@elon.edu. There will also be Moseley sign-up tables on Monday Feb. 22nd, Tuesday Feb. 23rd, and Wednesday Feb. 24th of this week. Teams must be signed up before February 25th. If you don’t want to perform, still come out to watch and have the chance to win door prizes!
